Ways to Give

Members of our community have helped transform the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa and provide unique opportunities and experiences to BGCO Members. There are many ways you can help.

One-time gifts / Annual Giving

A single gift could have a lasting impact on the lives and futures of Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa Members. Plan your annual donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa and know that your contribution will ensure the Club can continue to offer innovative programs and services to the city's children and youth. Monthly Giving

At the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, we believe that once you're a friend, you're always a friend. That's why when you become a member of our monthly giving program, you are joining others in your community who are creating better opportunities for Ottawa's children and youth. Monthly giving lets you spread your giving out throughout the year, easily budget for giving and make an ongoing commitment to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. To find out how a gift as little as $20 per month can help, click here.

Planned Giving – Leaving a gift in your will

Remembering the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa in your will or through your life insurance provider is generous, influential and easy. This form of giving allows you to support the Club with a substantially larger gift than would be possible within your lifetime. This method of giving allows you to donate securities, cash or a percentage of your estate. For more information please contact Jennifer Baca, Director of Advancement.

Gifts In-Kind

The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa graciously accepts some tangible gifts in-kind including furniture, supplies and gift cards. Please note: we do not accept drop off in-kind donations. Please contact Sara Rad, Development Officer, to make arrangements for pick up or drop off.

Gifts of Securities

In 2006, the federal government eliminated capital gains tax on donations of publicly traded securities (stocks & mutual funds). Donations of securities let you make a greater impact with your donation and receive a larger tax benefit. Click here to find out how to donate gifts of publicly traded securities and Mutual Funds.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

A Memorial or Tribute gift is a thoughtful donation in memory of a beloved family member or friend. Please contact Sara Rad, Development Officer, for more information.

Sponsorship and Event Donation

Do you or your organization want to sponsor one of our marquee events? Perhaps you have an in-kind donation to make to an auction or other events. Donating to one of our events is a great way to give back while also helping out your business' bottom line. For more information, see our Events page.

Third-Party Events

Community members often band together to host events that benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. From Denim Days at the office to summer barbeques to donations in lieu of gifts at holiday parties, these third-party events offer organizers the chance to give back. Contact Virgilia Partridge for more information on hosting a third-party event.
