Camp Smitty (formerly Camp Minwassin) was founded in 1924 to serve children in the Ottawa area who had limited access to the camp experience. Today, the camp continues to offer the ultimate summer camp experience to children of all backgrounds.

Camp Smitty is located on Mink Lake, which is located near Renfrew.

July and August mean fun in the sun for almost 400 kids each year. Our camp delivers educational and skills-related outdoor recreation programs, including swimming, canoeing and outdoor camping.

Camp Smitty is equipped with camper cabins for both boys and girls, a state-of-the-art dining hall, an indoor recreation hall (renovated original dining hall), and a waterfront recreation area that is a kid's paradise.

Campers are placed in groups of eight and each group is assigned two staff counsellors and one staff leader to ensure safety and a quality experience is had by all.
