We’re on a mission to make Ottawa even better for children and youth.
BGC Ottawa’s Face-to-Face Fundraising Program is a great way for us to connect directly with our neighbours, raise awareness about the work we do, and invite people to join our Builders’ Club – a community of monthly donors helping young people thrive.
By becoming a monthly donor, you’re helping provide children and youth with the tools, confidence and support they need to succeed – today and into the future.
Who you'll meet at the door
We’ve partnered with Globalfaces, one of Canada’s leading face-to-face fundraising organizations. Their professional canvassers are trained to represent BGC Ottawa with care, respect and integrity.

How to verify a canvasser
We want you to feel confident when speaking with someone representing BGC Ottawa. Here’s how to recognize an official canvasser:
- Wearing a BGC Ottawa branded badge with their name and ID number.
- Wearing a BGC Ottawa vest.
- Using official BGC Ottawa materials and secure electronic devices (we don’t accept cash donations).

Face-to-face fundraising helps build trust, spread awareness and secure consistent monthly support for programs that include academic help, mentorship, leadership training, sports and more.

What happens when I sign up with a canvasser?
If you decide to join BGC Ottawa’s Builders’ Club – the heart of our donor community – your canvasser will walk you through a simple and secure sign-up process using a tablet. Here’s how it works:
- You provide your details (name, email, address, and payment information).
- Choose a monthly donation amount that works for you.
- Review and confirm your monthly gift through a secure system.
Everything is processed electronically to keep your information safe – and you’ll get an instant confirmation.
What will I receive after signing up?
As a new member of our Builders’ Club, you’ll receive:
- A confirmation email for your monthly donation.
- A warm welcome from BGC Ottawa – we’re excited to have you on board!
- Quarterly updates through Club Connect, featuring stories, program highlights and more.
- A year-end tax receipt for your records.
Your support goes a long way, and we’ll keep you in the loop about the change you’re helping create.
