Celebrations

We celebrate days, weeks, and months of significance. The celebrations include Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Indigenous History Month, Pride Week, and more. Religious celebrations include but are not limited to significant days of the First Peoples, Bahá’I, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islam, Jewish, Sikh faiths.

Black History Month

Black History Month is an opportunity to learn, reflect and honor the transformative contributions of African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) people to our past, present, and future.

Women's History Month

Women’s History Month reflects on the significant and lasting contribution that women have made to our Club, our community, and our country.

Indigenous Heritage Month

Indigenous History Month recognizes the significant and lasting heritage, resilience, and diversity of Indigenous Peoples in Turtle Island.

Pride Week

Pride Week creates opportunities to celebrate, advocate, educate and connect people, respecting the full diversity of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Eid Al-Fitr

Eid Al-Fitr is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide which marks the end of Ramadan.

Learning Opportunities

We make time to learn by reading, watching movies or documentaries and developing our understanding through group discussions. Examples of program that enhance our learning include our Diversity Library and Equity Book Club.

Hero Profiles

We believe in the power of inspiring young people by paying homage to history-makers. We profile influential leaders for equity-seeking groups in our programing and on our Clubhouse walls through posters, poems, boards, and more.
