KTS Properties donates $100,000 to BGC Ottawa to support local children, youth and their families this holiday season

KTS Properties is pleased to announce a $100,000 donation to BGC Ottawa, formerly known as the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. This donation will support the charity’s vital mission to offer children and youth in vulnerable communities a safe place between school and home.

“So many families in Ottawa are struggling right now, and this generous donation will help us provide the resources and support that are so urgently needed,” said Adam Joiner, chief executive officer of BGC Ottawa. “Together, we can ensure that no child or family feels alone or unsupported this holiday season.”

The funds will go toward a variety of BGC Ottawa’s programs and services, including its Homework Club, recreational and competitive sports programs and arts programs. They will also help provide healthy meals and snacks for children and youth at a time when food security is a growing concern.

“We understand that the holidays can be a particularly difficult time for many families, and we are proud to support BGC Ottawa in their efforts to offer a lifeline to those who need it most,” said Tanya Chowieri, partner at KTS Properties.

This is the third $100,000 donation made by KTS Properties to deserving Ottawa charities as part of a broader philanthropic initiative announced earlier this year.

“Visiting BGC Ottawa was an incredible experience. The kids’ energy and positivity blew me away. You could tell they felt at home, and that was so heartwarming to see,” said Chowieri.

BGC Ottawa has been a trusted partner in the community for more than 100 years, offering a safe and supportive space for youth to learn, grow and build a brighter future. The organization’s programs focus on education, leadership, creative arts and a healthy lifestyle, helping young people develop skills and confidence.
