Camp Smitty

Our tradition, and commitment is to ensure every child has the most positive camp experience, and this year, that includes COVID-19 preparedness—your safety is our priority!

Camp Smitty, operated by BGC Ottawa, offers a beautiful lakefront setting, fantastic Staff team, and dynamic programs for Campers aged 8 to 16 years old. Since 1924, the camp has built a reputation as a highly respected program – something we're very proud of – and we've provided exceptional summer experiences for thousands of young people.

Our Staff team always sets us apart; they are an extraordinarily impressive group of dedicated people who genuinely care about the Campers. They create a safe and fun environment, offering parents peace of mind and encouraging kids to have the time of their lives.

Camp Smitty is often described by parents as genuine, responsible, and trustworthy, while Campers say it’s fun, cool, and awesome. Camp is such a special place in the hearts of so many people, and we hope to see your kids and youth at our world of fun soon.

Camp Smitty is proud to be both HIGH FIVE  accredited, a quality standard for children’s sport and recreation, and Ontario Camps Association accredited, for Camps Parents Trust.

Camp Smitty needs your help to send kids to camp regardless of their financial situation. Please contact us if you would like to sponsor a program or donate.
