An evening of rustic elegance supporting life-changing programs for Ottawa’s youth

OTTAWA, ON (August 25, 2025)
BGC Ottawa, formerly the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa, will host its signature fundraising event – the Western Winds Glamping Gala – on Thursday, Aug. 28, bringing together community leaders, philanthropists and advocates for an unforgettable evening under the stars. Proceeds will directly support the organization’s no-cost programs for children and youth across Ottawa.

Held on the picturesque Great Lawn at the Tomlinson Family Foundation Clubhouse (1463 Prince of Wales Drive), the Glamping Gala blends rustic charm with refined celebration. Guests will enjoy Western-inspired cuisine, signature cocktails, live entertainment and heartfelt stories of transformation – all while raising critical funds for BGC Ottawa’s free, life-changing programs and services.

Presented by Mark Motors Group, the Western Winds Glamping Gala offers a unique chance to celebrate community while investing in brighter futures for young people. A limited number of tickets remain at www.bgcottawa.org/gala.

“The Western Winds Glamping Gala is more than a celebration – it’s a call to action,” said Adam Joiner, BGC Ottawa’s Chief Executive Officer. “Each ticket, each donation, helps provide safe spaces, mentorship, and most importantly, opportunity for young people in our city who need it most.”

“This event has grown into something truly special over the years,” said Michelle Taggart, BGC Ottawa Board Member and the longest-serving member of the Gala Committee. “It’s a night where purpose meets joy – and the direct impact we’re making on thousands of local kids and teens is both inspiring and deeply rewarding.”

Guests will hear from Delaila – a BGC Club Member whose personal story of growth and belonging reflects the transformative power of BGC Ottawa programs – at the Glamping Gala.

“BGC Ottawa has been like a second home to me,” said Delaila, who will be heading to university this fall. “It’s where I found my confidence, my voice and people who believed in me. I’m excited for what’s next, but I’ll always carry what I learned here with me.”
